PRIME BLACK ANGUS
In the land of green pastures,
cattle, cowboys and tornadoes

Independent, forward-thinking cattle producers from Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas are responsible for enabling us to offer Black Angus beef of above-average quality.

The team from LUMA has visited Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas multiple times, maintaining a close and trusting relationship with the local farmers for years. The USDA Prime/USDA Choice seal from these small, independent producers reflects a level of selection we are proud to offer. The cattle graze on idyllic, wide-open grasslands in the American Midwest.

The label “Non Hormone Treated Cattle” also guarantees that the animals are raised without hormones or prophylactic antibiotics. The tender texture of the meat is a result of balanced grain feeding and the sustainable, animal-friendly care provided by the ranchers. The intramuscular fat content contributes significantly to the quality and exceptional taste of our Black Angus beef.

The sleek black cattle got their name in the late 18th century from the Celts in Scotland. Angus comes from the Gaelic word Aonghas, meaning “first choice” – a name that, even 120 years later, still fits perfectly.

The Natural Black Angus Program from Creekstone is Certified Humane® – and the slaughter facility was developed in collaboration with renowned animal welfare expert Dr. Temple Grandin. This ensures that the animals are treated as stress-free as possible from transport to processing.
